My foray into the realm of airsoft commenced amidst the rugged expanse of the wilderness during family camping trips at the age of 13. What originated as an explorative diversion swiftly matured into an abiding enthusiasm for tactical games, sparking a profound interest in strategy and team dynamics. By the age of 16, I had immersed myself completely in the intricacies of airsoft, fueled by a genuine passion for military simulation and strategic planning.
Rooted in my formative years in cadets, my leadership skills found fertile ground. Serving as a CLI Cadet Leader Instructor, I imparted survival and navigation expertise to junior cadets during summer camps, cultivating a genuine affection for teaching and mentorship.
My involvement in airsoft extends beyond the physical battlefield; I am inherently a creator, reveling in the nuances of design and planning inherent to the sport. Whether formulating strategies for intense gameplay or conceptualizing innovative approaches, I find my stride in the creative realm.
At my core, I embody the essence of a leader who derives fulfillment from guiding others. Thriving in leadership roles, I relish the chance to impart knowledge and mentor fellow enthusiasts, utilizing my expertise to empower others within the airsoft community.
Motivated by an unquenchable thirst for creation and an unwavering commitment to excellence, my journey is characterized by a fusion of tactical proficiency, adept leadership, and an enduring passion for the art of airsoft.
Allow me to let the events orchestrated under my purview speak for themselves—an accumulation of meticulous planning, attention to detail, prop and mission design, OPORD creations, and immersive experiences. In every facet, from event conception to gameplay, no element has been overlooked, underscoring our dedication to delivering unparalleled experiences within the airsoft community.

I am Stephen Katarius, the Co-founder of Milsim Canada, aged 34.
Milsim Canada, conceived by my long-time friend Kyle Shannon in late 2023, has its roots in our enduring friendship since the age of 12. Bonded by our shared enjoyment of navigating muddy terrains with toy guns, the dream of contributing to a large-scale Milsim style event has been a constant in our lives.
Our passion for this dream has only intensified as we delved into the world of airsoft over the years. Today, as we stand at the forefront of Milsim Canada, we carry a defined goal, a diverse set of skills to employ, and an unwavering passion for the immersive experience we aim to actualize. Our vision extends beyond the events we host; it encompasses the cultivation of a like-minded community that shares in our enthusiasm.
Milsim Canada is more than an aspiration; it is a collective effort to establish ourselves as the premier Milsim Event hosting team. While our journey lacks a history of events for reference, our commitment is to make our inaugural event unparalleled, leaving participants yearning for more. With a base crafted from our first event, our vision extends to hosting up to four events annually, showcasing adaptability across varying venues.
Kyle and I share a history of collaboration on numerous projects and events throughout our lives. However, none have resonated as harmoniously with our acquired skills as this ambitious venture into Milsim Canada.
Our commitment is to redefine the Milsim experience, creating a legacy of extraordinary events and fostering a community that shares our passion for immersive tactical gameplay.
